Das Erste
Das Erste is German television network owned by ARD. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, series, movies, sports, documentaries, culture and children’s programmings.
Das Erste was launched on 25th December 1952 as NWDR Fernsehen. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment and talk-shows.
On 1st November 1954, NWDR Fernsehen is renamed as Deutsches Fernsehen.
On 1st October 1956, Deutsches Fernsehen was broadcasted new information programming called “Tagesschau”.
On 1st January 1965, Deutshces Fernsehen is renamed as ARD Deutsches Fernsehen.
On 25th August 1967, ARD Deutsches Fernsehen was broadcasts in full color programmings.
On 1st September 1970, ARD Deutsches Fernsehen was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On 1st October 1984, ARD Deutsches Fernsehen is renamed as ARD base on the corporation of the same name.
On 30th November 1994, ARD switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st April 1996, ARD is renamed as Das Erste.
On 1st January 2000, Das Erste’s Videotext is renamed as ARD Text.
On 1st December 2003, Das Erste was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of ARD’s rebranding effort.
On 30th November 2008, Das Erste was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 12th February 2010, Das Erste stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 28th February 2015, Das Erste was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
