The channel was replaced by Fox Sports 3 in 2006 after Foxtel found the channel to be a financial burden considering only 3 games were broadcast live per week. The channel was revived in 2012 under the name Fox Footy. Fox Sports 3: formerly known as Speed Channel, it was launched in 2012 and its programming is car-related.
